We preview pro wrestling's final farewell to summer and highlight their hottest women athletes: The WWE Divas

You say "summer" to most people and images of sun and beaches and road trips come to mind. You say it to wrestling fans, and one thing pops into their brains: ... more SummerSlam. Since 1988, SummerSlam has been WWE's biggest pay-per-view event, outside of WrestleMania. This year it takes place in Los Angeles (what says "summer" better than L.A.?), and much like WrestleMania, the WWE has expanded the three-hour PPV show into an entire weekend event. For two days leading up to the SummerSlam, WWE will host Axxess across the street from Staples Center, where the walls between performers and fans get broken down. Fans can meet their favorite superstars, watch free matches, and check out memorabilia.

Naturally, this being summer and all, the biggest draw for these fans will be the female superstars of the WWE, or the Divas. What says summer better than hot women in bikinis? Well, this year, we're not sure if the ladies will be donning those swimsuits or not, but they will all be in attendance to greet their fans. They will also be doing a photo shoot that we will cover as part of our SummerSlam diary (check back early next week for that).

In preparation for their appearances, we were lucky enough to catch up with three Divas over the phone: WWE women's champion Michelle McCool, Divas champion Mickie James, and veteran grappler Gail Kim.
