Popular Searches 5Comments Dec 11, 2012 3:10PM Alana (Honey Boo Boo) Thompson's mother is not doing that girl any favors by allowing her to eat the way she does and drink that high caffeine/high sugar drink that her mother concocted. Alana is heading for a future of heartache and health problems that will follow her all of her life. If she continues to eat and drink the things that she is currently consuming, she will more than like tip the scales at 200+ lbs by the time she makes it to high school, assuming that she even sees the inside of a school. Her mother is teaching Alana all of the wrong values and leading her down the path of entitlement that other children in the entertainment world have adopted. I will not name any names, but does the initials LL bring anyone to mind? She will find herself cut off from children her own age that are not treated as she is, and she will have developed a superficial code of morals and ethics that will leave her disillusioned and unhappy in her young life. She is not an adorable child. She is rude, crude and an obnoxious brat thanks to her parents. The best thing that could happen to this child is for everyone to stop watching the reality show featuring her, and allow her the opportunity to finish out her childhood as just that. . .a child! The highs and lows of the year that was, from Howard Stern to Honey Boo Boo By Dave Lake It was a solid year for reality TV: nothing too fancy, nothing too discouraging. There were some new shows that captured our attention ("Here Comes Honey Boo Boo"), some old ones that failed to ("Fear Factor") and quite a few that fell somewhere in between. It also felt like a changing of the guard as shows like "American Idol," which has been hemorrhaging viewers in recent seasons, passed the baton to newer, sexier singing shows like "The Voice," which was up in overall viewership this year. As "Jersey Shore" recedes from view, new cities will come into focus. Out with the GTL and in with the go-go juice. Here's a look at the good, the bad and all the rest -- the year in reality TV.
