We say goodbye to some small-screen friends
By Mekeisha Madden Toby Special to MSN TV
It's irrational to mourn a deceased television character, especially in the
real world, where heartbreakingly tragic death and loss happen every day.
But that's what quality TV writing can do: We get so invested in story lines
and the characters who bring them to life that we throw reason out the window
and cry like babies when one them is killed off. Fans of "The Walking Dead" are
still bemoaning the death of T-Dog (IronE Singleton), especially because
when he finally displayed some depth and heart in an installment, zombies killed
him by the end of that episode.
The 2012 TV season has been especially casualty-filled and bloody, and
characters have been expiring by the week. To honor folks like T-Dog and even
Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) -- love her or
hate her -- from "The Walking Dead," as well as Lane Pryce (Jared Harris) from "Mad Men" and more,
we've compiled an in memoriam of sorts. Think of it as a way to gain closure and
say goodbye to our small-screen friends and frenemies.
