If Black weren't a successful comic, he'd be the crazy guy on a New York street corner gesticulating and foaming at the mouth about the end of the world. Confronted with some absolute of stupidity or illogic, Black escalates in outrage, his abrasive voice ascending to rasping rant, his hands fairly ripping at the air as though trying to grasp how humankind could go so wrong, so dumb. A pop culture H.L. Mencken, his lambasting of the "booboisie" is like a bracing shot of good bourbon.
