They include Bruno, a keyboard artist and composer whose talent is matched only by his arrogance; Danny, an aspiring comic; Coco, an ambitious singer and dancer; Doris, an actress and writer; Leroy, who hopes his dancing will take him far away from the ghetto; Montgomery, whose mother had been a renowned actress; and Julie, an accomplished cellist from Michigan.
