I watch the network news, CNN, MSNBC, FOX. I watch PBS, LINK, FSTV. I habitually listen to NPR, read a variety of periodicals and newspapers and, yes, I read topical and historical books.
No source, though, sums it all up as does THE DAILY SHOW. The most important function of this exceptionally relevant program-- aside from making me laugh, often disparingly--is its news about the news. When I can't conceive how American voters can be so blind, THE DAILY SHOW reveals the incredibly slanted and sensationalistic verbiage (or is it "verbage", Ms. Palin?) from the 4th estate which keeps viewers in a constant state of fear and ignorance.
Jefferson understood. The producers, writers, and hosts of both THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT "get it". If only the rest of the voting populace could do the same. Was this review helpful?
