If you have not seen this show get on board - it is Hot! The chemistry that is woven between the characters and the storyline for this dark comedy is clever - Ray Wise has been wisely chosen for Satan and the bumbling workbench crew a treat! The addition of the two "gay" demons living next door - filing down their horns and making great food is a additional treat and ofcoarse the plan to dethrone the devil...
Everyone out there that knows what I'm talkin 'bout needs to let it be known and if it is returning and I am unaware...That's AWESOME!
Bottom line is this show is different, interesting and has an edge to it - it is a must see show of the '08-'09 season!!! Was this review helpful? We enjoy the storyline and repartee between all the characters, but my favorites would be between Sam, Sock, and the Devil. We like Ben, but not sure about that ‘marriage’ story line with him. The writers lost us there.
When I asked my 20 & 21 yr olds what they thought of the show I was surprised when they told me they never saw it. When I played the last couple of episodes for them from my DVR, they LOVED it and they'll definitely be adding it to their must watch TV this fall.
I think the network needs better advertising to catch more viewers. I'd hate to see this show canceled before it has a chance to really take off. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 2 users found this helpful Devishly GoodIt's rare to find a quality show you can sit and watch with your pre-teen or young teen kid, but Reaper is well done. It's a shame this show hasn't caught on in terms of mass appeal and I certainly hope the people at CW are smart enough to bring this show back for a second season.
The acting is first rate, the writing and plot easy to follow and worth a ton of laughs. If there's a better acting performance on television right now than Ray Wise's take on the devil I'd sure like to hear about it because he is in a word - outstanding!
Keep this show alive or if you haven't watched it yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Was this review helpful?
