Refreshing storyline is what makes it interesting. Most dramas are based on the same storyline which after awhile gets really tiring. If this drama was given a little more attention I believe it could really hit a home run! There are some very good actors in this drama. Even if they are not mega stars they really do a wonderful job playing there parts. Which is better than most mega stars. It would be really great for the network to give this drama a 100% chance and a little more promotion. Was this review helpful? My opinion to its cancellation had nothing to due with the show itself, but with the show's adventisement. No one really knew about it, or how good it was, I didn't know about it until I caught episodes on Hulu and then was anxious for more and was dissapointed that it was cancelled. All I can hope for now is for NBC to come to their senses and put out more quality entertainment like this and minimize reality TV shows. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I LOVED it when the uncle (William) in New King p1 tells Jack, as he makes his announcement, "stop all this kingspeak" then moments later says 'now i'm doing it"--hilarious, because it was so deadpan!!! The kingspeak is GREAT when spoken by Silas--(he did it great in Deadwood too..btw) Was this review helpful? It is a visionary combination of rare elements that all somehow work. Good job. Was this review helpful? Well written. It had excitment, tension, suspicon. Just a terrific show. I wish they would at least finish the season. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I love the series and put it up next to my favorites which I watch weekly (Survival and The Unit). My problem is not with the show, but the network or whoever is changing the showing nights and now I cannot find it on TV at all. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful One of my fav's, but where has it been and why has the nite changed? If you like the "Left Behind" series you'll like this program. To all the nay sayers, have fun with the program. It's an old story told in a new way that you should figure out. I like this program very much and hope the series stays on the air. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Probably one of the most innovative shows around, I seem to find it very simular to the series "The West Wing", and like "West Wing", it is set in an alternate universe; and this is good because it gives them unlimited story potential.
Hopefully, the show would last long enough for them to expand upon the incredible background they are alluring t Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/19/2009A review of Kings by CrimsonBlade8 One of the best shows ive seen in a very long time. Original thought is becomming harder to find recently. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Interesting. A fictional, modern country which looks a lot like America today -- with a king. And an adjacent, very hostile neighbor.
So, where are they going with this? Is the soap opera aspect the whole point? Or are they headed into "Lost" land, with dovetailing complexities, paradox upon paradox? They make very little of what must be a whale of a backstory: They just rebuilt their capitol which was devastated in a war that still continues.
What of the Banker from Hell who evidently holds the mortgage on King Silas' soul and can't wait to foreclose.
I hope this gets some time to play out and find an audience. There are some interesting possibilities here and, whether good or bad, at least it's not another (quasi-)reality show.
I like new ideas on TV. Double that for the ancient an honorable Big 3 broadcast networks. This is the most original new show I've seen lately. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 3 users found this helpful I will not even stoop to the depths of hell to try to look upon such unashamed, disgusting, evil in disguise attempt to beguile pathetic buffoons. I will never watch anything the producers of this garbage make in the future and disgracefully, and appallingly many will not ferret out the true attempt to promote
"One World Order".
David and Goliath is such a misleading analogy in that David is in the service of his God and desires nothing in return and the Israelites certainly had nothing of worldly value to bestow upon him. David is simply protecting his family and beliefs. I hope that people will recognize this show for what it is a gross promotion of
"One World Order". Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-14 of 14 Per Page |
