Not one of their contestants should have been given the privilege of running any of his restaurants!! You could tell that he tried looking for the good in several of them, but, they all just needed to be replaced with a whole new batch! He made the best of a bad deal. I think he should be the one who interviews & screens the contenders. After all, it is his show! Maybe next time, they will get some top-notch chefs, (pull them from Iron Chef and see who wins)!
We love Chef Ramsey, but wish his potty mouth would be controlled a bit, like on his other show. Other than that, Bon Apetite!! Was this review helpful? Hand over fist, Hell's Kitchen is MUCH better than Top Chef (the judges are too snobby for their own good, and as the old adage goes "Too many cooks spoil the broth" and those judges do "spoil the broth")!! Chef Ramsey gives those chefs "what for" in a very educational way!! He's great!! His other show is great also!!!

You know the stress can get unbearable at rush time and then you add someone so overbearing and judgemental that he is ridiculous and you have some entertainment. The really funny thing is the winner gets to spend more time with this guy. To top it all off the rules must state that they all have to be polite because no matter how much he belittles the contestants/aspiring chefs they always reply " Yes Chef ramsey " . I suppose that it is a Great Way to Cool Down in the After Idol Hour while you of course are dilaing to support your favorite Idol. Cheers ! Was this review helpful? Chef Ramsey maybe volatile but after reading his bio I think he may have earned the right.
I do agree with others that the show's contestants are limited in their ability and maturity. I keep wishing that they would come together and review what they are really being taught: working as a team, timing, learning what it takes to work under pressure and then doing it, and willingness to hear the truth. They have this wonderful, yet stressful, moment in time to learn from the best and I hope they will take all the positives from it.
I think someone will rise up and get the big prize I just hope they can hold on to it and not let ego get in the way. I'll let you know if I am guessing correctly when the season ends.
By the way the food that is served makes me want to dine at Hell's Kitchen or better yet at one of Chef Ramsey's resturants. Was this review helpful? The contestants this season are not up to the caliber of those from other seasons. The majority of the contestants have attitude problems with authority and need to grow up if they are to be even considered for the plum prize of owning one of Chef Ramsey's signature restaurants! I watch the show to see how Mr Ramsey will groom the best of worse excuses of cooks who wouldn't even hold up in my home kitchen! Cudos to Chef Ramsey and may God help him in his decision making. This is a great show and I give it 5 stars for Chef Ramsey's tenacity and overall patience this season. My only hope is that someone will finally shine and become worthy of Chef Ramsey's art and love of cooking! Was this review helpful? Every season since they seem to have looked in the gutters for anyone who has ever been in a kitchen. It's a joke. No one in the kitchen would ever be in the position of running a kitchen, they are whiny and not knowledgeable. Ramsey is always yelling and throwing things, calling them names. Well, of course they are screwing up, they don't belong in a kitchen in that capacity! It's not even interesing anymore, all you see is complaining, cigarette smoking and backstabbing. It seems they have changed the show to be about how dramatic and off color they can make it and not about talent. It's just trashy. Was this review helpful? However, I do not care for mean spirited people as this chef. People can be successful and detailed oriented without the expense of hurting, humiliating peers, employees, cast, etc. Thsi is just another case of a network making money off of us-people who likes to watch wasted-viloence and mean spirited shows. Truly disappointing. I have several friends who watch this show purly because they like enjoy the cast being yelled, cursed and belittled - not because it's worth watching the end result of quality food being made (they find that absolutely boring) but rather the chef cussing in foul language. It's been done in all your previous shows and now has become a joke, and quite annoying. This is what push people away from programs that try and make a show into somethong it's really not. Popular!
The show seems to be more of a bootcamp program for cooks than a cooking show that shows talents and creativity.
How many more time do you really need to use the "F" word in one show. Hell's Kitchen has become more of a"hell-of-a-joke" this time around. Was this review helpful?
