I love this show. Haven't been so excited to see a series opener since the series Rome.It seems to be the fastest hour on tv. The characters are so real. Some of the scenes are breath taking and this series keeps you on the edge of your chair. I'am sure by now many Thrones junkies have their favorite characters. Mine personally are Brawn and the Hound.Don't miss this one.

I have not gotten this acquainted with my recliner and TV in YEARS! Usually a series will lose me during a dull or repetitive period. This series has none of that, I am counting the weeks until we have another season! Each character has such a deep history you can not help but grow attached to them all. Keep up the good work. I upgraded my cable package to keep this series!

I only wish HBO could have made this series a monthly or semi-weekly series. I am a DirecTV customer and I would gladly leave HBO as a premium channel all the time with my programming if they would leave this series as a regular series instead of only 10 weeks. I now only watch HBO when this series is on. Saving approximately $150.00 out weighs keeping HBO all the time, but I would gladly spend the extra $150.00 for my programming annually if "Game of Thrones" was scheduled on a regular basis. I don't think I am the only customer that feels this way. I wish there were enough customers that could influence producers. There certainly is enough material from the books to keep this series going but I know that I pay for quality and I like to believe that HBO is making this decision for the same reason. Quality is what makes this series the best ever! I will reinstate HBO when the time comes again.

I am so in love with Game of Thrones. Every episode is more intreging and complicated. i was so sad when Ned died and then Drogo come on! they are such good actors. but i also understand the book following so it's ok. i'm reading the 3rd book now and i can hardly put it down. i would have to agree with one of your reviewers that there is way way way to much time inbetween each book run. i understand the anticipation factor but would also agree that most people (except myself) would just forget about it. a small favor for those of us who follow Thrones don't make it so long inbetween. i will be buying each season as it comes out and watching it until it wears out, Just like another one of my favorite ones. Keep up the good work. It's going to be hard to out do this series.

Game of Thrones is entirely too complicated and confusing. At the beginning...a fascinating story. Now just a mish mosh...hodge podge of characters. I am spending $16.00 dolllars a month just to watch this show.? Think I'll cancel. Thanks MSN for reminding me.

I can not wait for the next Game of Thrones series to start. The last series has kept me hanging, ever though I have read all five of George R.R. Martin's, ( A Song Of Ice And Fire)books for which the Game of Thrones show is based on. The actors are phenonminal, and the scenery so real. The characters will make you laugh and make you cry. And most of all make you want to watch every week to see what happens to them. This is by far my favorite HBO series. Anyone who missed the first season will be able to buy it on DVD very soon.

What I really admired about the first season is how closely it stuck to the book. All the major plot points from George R.R. Martin's fantastic first book were covered with as much detail as a TV series can afford to include. I have to agree with my wife that in doing so they may have alienated the casual viewer (there are a TON of characters to cover) but as a true "Thrones" junkie, I could care less. To see major players like Ned and Drogo die off in the very first season turned her off but you have to love a series with enough guts to stick to what made the books so popular in the first place. Streamlining the series would have alienated the real fans and that's something Martin said he would not allow to happen. When I saw the first teasers I just knew that they would have to keep Ned alive at the very least. Bravo for being faithful and I sincerely hope this line of thought continues as long as HBO carries the series. Even after reading the books through twice I was riveted to the screen for each and every hour long episode. The only negative is having to wait so damn long between seasons. Why on Earth does HBO do that? To build anticipation? In my eyes it pushes the casual viewer even farther away. I can say the same for True Blood. I was really into the first season (having not read the Sookie Stackhouse books) but by the time the second season rolled out I wished I had never heard the word vampire.
