Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 10/10/2009A review of Fringe by PanSatyric I'm a diehard 58 year-old Sci-Fi & Horror Fan, multimedia artist & psychotherapist-- and it's been far too long a time since I've been so flat-out grateful for such a tightly knit, flawlessly functional team of superb creative talents, such as the wonderful artists who make FRINGE possible. Everything diehard Sci-Fi & Horror fans crave is here-- terrific cliff-hanging, mirror-maze plot twists, wholly believable characters you increasingly care about, hilariously well-timed (and very much needed) comic relief, consistently excellent production design, and beautifully plot-integrated, jaw-droppingly executed SFX. I was one of many mesmerized little boys sitting in the dark of a movie theater who, so many years ago, had their tiny minds blown away by the original widescreen showings of such classics as THE TIME MACHINE, JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, and FIRST MEN IN THE MOON, to name but a few. FRINGE brings back those very same childhood thrills ... and although my adult mind isn't as tiny as it used to be, FRINGE nevertheless effortlessly blows it away again, every episode. Thank you, thank, thank you all for such an absolutely wonderful series. Was this review helpful? Especially when the roles reverse in later years. Peter's care of and affection for Walter is heart warming. Put the IQs of each in the mix and the resulting adventures are awsome. Now that Olivia seems to have a "history" with Walter's early experiments I can't wait to see how the writers turn the screws...Thanks for some thought provoking moments!! Was this review helpful? Keep up the good work and I look forward to more of the same. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful When I first heard of this "new show" I didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling from what I had read. But now I really look forward to every airing of this "GREAT NEW SHOW". I would never have imagined me saying this a few months back, but it is almost up there, for me anyway, with the Great "24" the best show on TV. Fringe is brave enoungh or just crazy enought to keep me coming back again and again and i was delighted to hear last week that it is planned to be back next year, thank goodness. The actors play their roles to the enith degree and Walter is well he is Walter and you would have to see this program several times to get all the nooks and grannies filled up in your mind and in my opnion you will never relly know when the program is going besides in all directions. Please invest a few hours watching some past episods at Fox.com and I feel sure you will be hoocked also. Oliva is great also with Peter not far behind.
Dixie Twister Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful I loved the show on Wednesday night and I truly miss it when it isn't on TV as scheduled. I love Sci-Fi and I was a "Lost In Space" fan when I was 12-14 years old. I use to watch Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits back in the day. I love complicated mystery type of the unexplained. The more realistic it is the better- involving physics and chemistry and psychology & physiology. Like the X-files was a great show and I was sad to see it go. I hope Fringe will continue to have writers that can come up with more shows leaning on the edge of reality and the unexplained.
I also love" Lost", "Smallville", "Supernatural" ,"Medium" & "Ghost Whisperer" & I also watch all the new UFO shows & Monster Quest. It's like if we knew it all the world would be boring and uninteresting because I think some like to think there is more to explore that hasn't been discovered yet. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Fringe is one of the best tv programs on. I hope that it has not been cancelled!
It doesn't have a new episode listed, I hope that it stays on tv. The cast and
stories, are faublous. Catch one episode, and you will be hooked. Thanks
A.A. Abrahms, for a great show. Was this review helpful?
