Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Funny as hell!Posted: 1/14/2009A review of Flight of the Conchords by Flightfunny Next to the Office, The Flight of the Concords is the best comedy on TV and probably the funniest show ever on HBO. After relative obscurity with the first season, when none of my friends knew about the show, everyone I talk to in SoCal knows about the show now and confirm my belief that the show is on the edge of greatness. The only thing that is holding it back is lack of material. I think they only made 10 shows for the first season and just now are running re-runs on HBO. HBO listen to me, do not let this show go, you will see after the 2nd season starts running that alot of peeps have been waiting anxiously for this show to return. If SoCal can generate hit shows from our reality, (Laguna Beach, The Hills, etc...) then imagine what a show can do when everyone in SoCal talks about it constantly. The digi-folk comedy videos/songs on the show are hilarious and the writing is extremely witty with deadpan timing of dry humor. I often have parties of 30-40 people, I usually put on the DVD of season one in the background, and people are cracking up!. They are always like "Dude what is this show, these videos and songs are hilarious!". I live in Orange County and have plenty of friends in the Hollywood scene, as well as my job entails to costant communication to lots of people in the area. The results are in, from LA to San Diego, Southern California finds "Flight of the Concords" to be freakin HILARIOUS! We are the trend setters here, I mean last time a looked just a girl from a small band called No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, is now rivalling Louis Vitton for bags at Nordstroms. You think Lauren Conrad and Brody are stars, huh, there is a Lauren Conrad around every corner here in the OC. HBO listen, DO NOT LET THESE GUYS GO. This show is worth its weight in Platinum!
