Fareed Zakaria's show is "must see TV" for anyone craving intelligent, meaningful news and discourse about our relationship with the rest of world.
I suppose that just hearing the words "foreign affairs" makes the average American want to run for cover behind their iPod, but I can assure you, the show is accessible and Zakaria, while being serious and substantive is also charming and has a good sense of humor (In fact, he's a popular guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart).
Besides filling the international-news void, Zakaria brings some much needed credibility and gravitas to CNN, a network that puts too little effort into doing actual journalism and too much effort into marketing itself and its reporters with slogans such as the "Best Political Team on Television" "Most Trusted Name in News" "No Bias No Bull."
At the very least, you won't hear Zakaria insulting your intelligence with these hollow catchphrases. And you may just come away with more perspective and a better understanding of the world.
