WE NEVER MISS AN EPISODE AND LOOK FORWARD TO EACH NEW SEASON. IT'S NOT A SHOW FOR KIDS BUT IT'S NICE COUPLE TIME. THE SERIES PORTAYS THE PROBLEMS OF A FAMILY WITH MONEY, AND POWER, A FATHER STRUGGLING TO GIVE HIS CHILDREN EVERYTHING HE WANTS FOR THEM (NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY WANT), A DAUGHTER KAREN, LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE AND TO LOVE HER BACK -PROBLEM IS THE LOVE OF HER LIFE AND FAMILY ATTORNEY NICK IS MARRIED; A SON WHO JUST GOT OUT OF A LOVELESS MARRIAGE (BECAUSE SHE'S DEAD), IS IN LOVE WITH CARMELITA-A TRANNY, AND WAS JUST ELECTED SENATOR (HIS FATHERS WISH COME TRUE; ANOTHER SON VERY SELF OBSORBED BRIAN-WHO WE NOW KNOW IS NOT TRIPS SON-IS STRUGGLING TO BE A FATHER HIMSELF, THEN THERE ARE THE YOUNGEST-THE SPOILED TWINS JEREMY AND JILLIAN TRYING TO FIND THERE WAY IN A PRIVILGED WORLD; WE CANT FORGET TISH, TRIPS WIFE WHO WAS JUST AQUITTED OF MURDERING NICKS FATHER, HER FORMER LOVER, TRIPS BEST FRIEND AND PREVIOUS FAMILY ATTORNEY. PROVING HAVING A LARGE BANK ACCOUNT ISN'T EVERYTHING. IT DEPICTS REAL LIFE SCENARIOS SUCH AS LETTING GO OF OLD LOVE, FIGHTING FOR MARRIAGE, THE TEMPTATION OF INFADELITY, AFFAIRS, FAMILY TIES, LOYALTIES, BETRAYALS, AND THE STRUGGLES OF OVER COMING IT ALL. THE ACTORS ARE TOP NOTCH, THE STORY LINES ARE INTRIGUING, IT DRAWS YOU IN, YOU FEEL FOR THE CHARACTERS. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO THIS SHOW, I WOULD BE SO DISAPPIOINTED IF THIS SHOW WAS CANCELED- ABC THERE ARE MANY OTHER SHOWS THAT ARE CANCEL WORTHY LIKE PUSHING DAISYS, PRIVATE PRACTICE, LIFE ON MARS, SAMANTHA WHO?, WIPE OUT, WANNA BET...BUT DIRTY SEXY MONEY IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!
I HOPE THIS REVIEW MAKES A DIFFERENCE AND SAVES ONE OF OUR FAVORITE SHOWS FROM BEING DROPPED. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Excellent Mystery SpoofPosted: 3/20/2008A review of Dirty Sexy Money by OceanSprite1 I've really enjoyed the outstanding acting by all of the actors, not just the seasoned headliners. The writers do an excellent job spoofing the rich and mysterious. Very intelligently written, incredibly funny, but you have to understand satire and subtle humor. Some poignant moments amid the sarcasm and rediculous behavior of the incredibly rich, and then there's the bizzarre mystery of the disappeared lawyer father who I bet anything, is still alive and working for a third, terribly rich party that we haven't heard of yet. I do hope it comes back, haven't heard after the writer's strike if they were going to be back on. Just 10 episodes and there's a big following, all of us want to know where the show stands. I have heard, however, that audience members who are truly rich, have complained that they're made to look rediculous. Well? What's the problem? Learn to not take yourselves too seriously.
