WOW! What an ending! Talk about cliffhangers! I enjoy this show because it's a mixture of MY real life (used to work in law enforcement plus am in psychological therapy right now). The characters all work well together and this episode really showed that. While the pig's slaughter was not pleasant to watch, it set the tone. I never thought of a disabled brother manipulating a retarded sibling, especially over the act of pushing him off the barn. Anger and guilt, I could understand, but not subservience. I miss Mandy Patinkin but "the new guy" is all right too.

I absolutely love this show!! Even though it runs along the same premise as a couple of other shows I also like very much (NCIS, The Mentalist, Law& Order: Criminal Intent), CM and NCIS are my top two favorites, I hate to miss an episode. The season finale, which aired May 20, 2009 in my area, was one of the best episodes ever, yet in the end... are we to believe that Hotchner is killed? I have not heard any rumors at all that he would be leaving the show. I hope not, but if he does I will still watch.

I find Criminal Minds to be one of the most entertaining shows on TV. It keeps me anticipating the next episode every week. I am in total suspense about the end of last season and what this season holds in store. Keep up the great writing & producing.

This is one of the best shows on the air. It shows a bit of what go's thru the profilers minds while dealing with the ugliness they deal with on a daily basis. This effects there private lives. They as a group are more like family and there families at home find this hard to deal with. It shows a bit of what it could really be like. Quite a show.

It opens with a flashback of a horrific crime set inIndianapolis. children awoke to find their parents slaughtered in their bed. It was one of those cases that sticks with a person, and senior profiler David Rossi (Joe Mantagna) was no exception. Twenty years later, and he is still haunted. SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) finds Rossi’s office in total disarray. She and fellow agents Jareau and Morgan (AJ Cook and Shemar Moore) fly to Indianapolis, hot on Rossi’s trail. With there help, Rossi arrests Joey (Matthew J. Cates) and his father (Dennis Christopher). Joey—a mentally challenged young man—had followed the family home from the carnival that day. He’d wanted to play with the kids, and things went horribly wrong. Meanwhile, team leader Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and boy wonder Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) were in a Connecticut prison interrogating Chester Hardwick (Michael Shamus Wiles). But the vicious killer had an alternate plan in mind for them—by killing two FBI agents his upcoming execution would be delayed. Hotchner delivered an excellent reply to the man’s threats. “But unfortunately for you, I’m not a five foot tall, hundred pound girl.” It was one of the best lines in the episode. Hotchner loses his temper and the darkness begins to emerge. He was going to show Hardwick why his plan wouldn’t work—the hard way. Reid once more proves he’s got some meddle by distracting both Hardwick and Hotchner with a long and convoluted theory as to why Hardwick had become the monster he was, ending with “You never had a chance.” Mantegna, Vangsness and Gibson more than show their acting skills. Comedic romance, emotional determination, and internal struggles make this episode one definitely worth watching. And as the last clip focuses on Aaron Hotchner signing the papers to officially end his marriage, the camera zooms out and we are left wondering just how damaged the agents of the BAU are.
