It had both heart and intelligents which most shows today have very little of. Denny's and Alan's relationship was the best lost story on TV. And yes it was very liberal, THANK GOD!!! We have seen enough of the dogma of conservatism in our everyday lifes. It is ok to think and this show made me think. Shows like The West Wing and Boston Legal are why I watch TV. The work environment was wonderfully and encouragingly diverse and a great example of what an open, transparent and accepting of others, work environment might really look like. While Boston Legal's earliest episodes are extremely entertaining in that they offered thought provoking topics and humor, this season's shows are apparently bought and paid for by George Soros. The earlier shows were (dare I say it?) mostly "fair and balanced."
Count me in as one of those who will not be sad at this series leaving television.
Hello, David Kelly!!! Television is supposed to ENTERTAIN. Not INDOCTRINATE viewers to your socialist agenda. If I wanted to be indoctrinated I would simply watch the alphabet networks' national news.

The content of the storyline was practically a "negative campaign ad " against McCain and Palin. The comments were denigrating and degrading toward them. I am very disapponted in the show ... to say the least. I understand that the media tends to support the liberal agenda ...... but your show has gone too far!

It interweaves present politics and public interest events through both commedy and drama story lines. The writers keep several distinct and seperate story lines going throughout the show yet they interweave together.
The characters display great chemestry, far better than most TV presentations.
The great writing shows up constantly not only in story lines but in dialog full of zingers and over the top banter. The characters add to each story plot like gasoline on fire. The show shines as one of the brightest commedy/drama series on TV.

My husband hardly watches tv at all but we both run to get our work done to watch this every week.
I don't know why they moved the time slot either but we still followed.
I truely hope that the networks come to their senses about this.
I will have to say that with the new digital broadcasts coming after the first of the year,if they keep canceling all of the good shows and leaving the stupid ones on, who cares if your tv works or not.

When the writers went on strike it was the show I missed the most. I started watching other shows I did not watch. But now that the new season is here I have returned to watch Denny and Allen and the crazy messes they get into.
i am so sad to hear they are going off the air. It seemed like that network had all my favs before the strike and now that this one is leaving I will only have two shows I will watch.

We have watched it from the beginning, and look forward to it each week. We had watched "The Practice" toward the end, so it was like seeing old friends again when Boston Legal first aired. Please don't discontinue this wonderfully entertaining show. It is edgy, funny, current, and extremely well written. The characters are wonderfully cast, and though we miss those who have left the series, those who have replaced them have also been very good. I cannot wait to see the new episodes this season. I have two seasons on DVD too....but there is nothing quite like seeing them for the first time. Was this review helpful? They try too hard to get out their message and do some Bush bashing in the process. After last season, I became disgustged with the constant barrage of liberal talking points and am on the verge of giving up watching the show. I'm going to watch the first few episodes of the new season to see if this political onesidedness is lessened before I make the decision to stop watching. Who, in their right mind, would take it off the air waves, air waves with virtually nothing bouncing from wave to wave. Boston Legal is funny, dramatic, relevant almost to the moment, and of course very entertaining. What idiot plotted Boston Legal across from CSI, violent and repulsive, using women as targets to rev up testosterone. Boston Legal revs up endorphins. ABC - pull yourself together. It reflects the thoughtful, pensive, and hard work of David Kelley; clearly his own legal training and ambition to maintain a current vista from which he creates the stories are inimitable and peerless. The fact that he can display a vignette of serious dimension and apply therein a trace of sufficient humor to evoke a belly laugh at some point clearly evidences his unique talent. Maybe not totally realistic regarding the practice of law, but the characters are superb. Denny and Alan's evening ritual of sitting on the roof with their cigars and very good Scotch can, at times, bring tears to my eyes. They are so good with one another.

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful this !@sPosted: 8/29/2008A review of Boston Legal by orvella221 if this is really the last season of boston legal that would ^!@$!denny and alan make the show,in my opinion it is one of the best show out now at fist my wife watched it and I didn"t but after just watching 1 show with her i was hooked.I haven't missed a episode since and I went out and bougth all the boston legals on dvd.Why do they take all the good shows off and put crap shows in their place.Iwill never understand the way the tv networks work they are almost in the same catagory as taking a knife to a gun fight it makes no sence,so please stop taking great shows off the air for crap come on people use your brains for once is that so hard (I'm talking about the network executives who makes the decisions on programming.).
