Yet in another 180 years the ending on the show may actually look like the real earth.

I will miss this show a lot. I am very sad that it is coming to an end this season. Now there is no reason to keep Dish or Cable. Will closs my account as soon as the season is over. There is so little good programing anymore with intersting well written plots. Wolfie

Simply the best written, best acted show in the history of television. The soundtrack is flawless as well and an integral part of what makes the show so emotional and special. Has raised the bar not only for space operas, but all dramas.

BATTLESTAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITES BUT IT HAS EVOLVED INTO SOMETHING THAT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW, IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT'S HAPPENING FROM ONE MOMENT TO THE NEXT LET ALONE FROM ONE EPISODE TO THE NEXT. THE PLOT IS SO COMPLEX THAT I GOT LOST ON ONE OF THE TWIST AND TURNS A WHILE BACK. MAYBE THE K.I.S.S. METHOD WOULD BE BETTER. THE WRITERS SEEM TO BE JUST TRYING TO GET IT OVER WITH, TOO BAD!

This is the best drama on TV. The characters are so believable and the acting is superb. My son got me hooked in season 1 and I have been faithful to the series ever since. This can not be the final TV season, It will only make me test my patience for the movies to come out. BSG, you guys rock!

Battlestar Galactica (or BSG) has a good mix of science fiction, drama, and suspense. The show is currently ending with its fourth season and although it has been cut short, BSG has a great team of writers that has made it a smash hit. The story involves a civilization of humans that lived in a distant solar system until a race of robots known as the Cylons destroyed the 12 planets that they lived on. Only one of their military ships remain, the Battlestar Galactica. Galactica then leads a rag-tag fleet of about 50,000 people through space to a planet known as earth. However no one in the fleet has any idea where this planet is or if it even exists. All they have is stories about it in the ancient texts of their polytheistic religion. Many of the cast members are new faces to the TV industry, but there are some that you've probably seen before such as: Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner, Miami Vice), Mary McDonnell (Dance with Wolves, Independence Day), Dean Stockwell(Quantum Leap, Dune, Air Force One), and Lucy Lawless(Xena: Warrior Princess). All of the cast members perform their part well.

I remember well the original incarnation of BSG (see, I can initialize too at 43) and this new version-- it would certainly do it a disservice to call it a remake-- has taken some of the interesting concepts of that show and did some serious re-tooling. In some ways better (the new Centurions are amazing) and in some, worse (I still don't see how a ship can enter light speed from a standstill with no visible acceleration, and please, no explanations). Aside from that the SPFX and battle scenes are truly jaw-dropping. What is wrong with this show? It's beginning to weigh itself down with Godspeak and politics, and I see it having a negative effect when longtime normal characters now randomly become "skin jobs"...like Patrick Duffy's shower scene in Dallas, you just can't throw out every reference in the past in an effort to keep things fresh. If these decisions were made at the series' creation I'll stand corrected, but maybe the writers' strike adversely affected the story arc; I thought mid-last season was extraordinary...now it's who-bangs-Boltar next...and are we viewers the only ones that think Boltar talking to "himself" would look very odd to the point of having him committed long ago? No character ever seems to question him. One more thing-- Ms Sackhoff is AMAZING.

2nd Best Series on the Tube.....2nd only to JERICHO! Great script writing, better than average acting, AND AN INSIGHT to our future??? particularly if we continue poluting our planet to keep the oil companies, auto manufacturers, and other toxic wasters sleeping on satin sheets!! Now if we can only coerce SciFI to BRING JERICHO BACK and continue the series with new episodes, this network can RULE the airways!!!!!!!!! Keep giving those of us who find ??"Reality TV"?? BORING (oatmeal for the burned out brains).

I have watched a lot of TV growing up. I have come to be disappointed when old TV shows are brought back in a New Format. I loved the first BSG and Love the Current. I want more than just 4 seasons. I think if this ever made it to Prime Time on local stations 4 seasons would not be enough. Yes they have changed the characters’ and the format and gave it Drama with excellent ACTION. They keep you on your edge of you seat and wanting more every time a new one airs. Were are the critics? This BSG deserves more awards. Attention to detail is something this show does so good. The stories seem to incorporate real life current events. You don't have to be a sci-fi fan to get hooked. BSG has something for everyone.

Battlestar Galactica has the best actors, writing, directing, crew, and producers. Why it hasn't won more Emmy's I don't know. I wish this was not the last season of the show. I will miss the show. I can't wait for new season to start though. I wish the best of luck to everyone that helped make a show so compelling and charismatic. And a speical thanks to the women of BSG. Mary McDonnell, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Kandyse McClure, Nicki Clyne, Rekha Sharma, Lucy Lawless, Kate Vernon, and of course Katee Sackhoff. They showed that women can kick some butt.
