Some megawatt stars really are one-trick ponies, and Barr, whose raucous wit shaped one of the funniest comedies in the last quarter of the 20th century, has not been able to re-create anything like the popularity she had with the wildly popular, deeply ... morehuman "Roseanne." Her talk shows have not gotten off the ground, nor has she been able to resurrect her standup career. This summer, the Jewish Barr did manage to get herself in hot water again, posing for the Jewish satire magazine Heeb dressed as Hitler and pulling a tray of burnt cookies out of an oven, something she defended on her blog. "There is so much anti-Semitism in the world," she said, "it's not even funny."
