"A Different World"

While "World" was a hit, thanks to its inclusion in the legendary NBC Thursday night lineup and the fact that it was a "Cosby Show" spin-off, it was only that for about a minute. The Lisa Bonet vehicle was initially intended not only to capitalize on her ... moreshooting stardom, but also allow the Coz to stress the importance of education while embracing diversity. It ended up mostly being about Whitley and Dwayne Wayne falling in love. Did they just tell Bill it wasn't on anymore?
