Give credit to the folks over at seminal '90s sitcom "Friends." When Lisa Kudrow and her husband were expecting a baby, the writers found a way to incorporate her pregnancy into the show in a way that somehow felt in spirit with her alter ego Phoebe's loopy ... more tendencies: creating a story line in which she volunteered as a surrogate mother for her brother's triplets. It might sound like a stretch, but it's certainly less awkward than having her stand in front of chest-high countertops for an entire season.
