Most of America lamented the way in which Conan was unceremoniously dumped
from his perch at the "Tonight
Show" in favor of a much less funny Jay Leno, but the viewing public was probably more
disappointed that they didn't get to hear from Conan himself ... more immediately after
his departure from NBC. Contractual agreements prevented him from commenting
publicly on his ouster until his "60
Minutes" interview, but wouldn't it have been fun to see how Conan dealt
with the sudden bait-and-switch?
