This was an erratic season story-wise. Kovac and Taggart search for Alex, her
missing tween son, and end their relationship. Kovac and Abby stumble back into
a romance and an unplanned pregnancy, while Gallant and Neela marry. We get a
new physician, Victor Clemente (John Leguizamo
... more), while Neela and Abby secretly care
for an infant chimpanzee. Resident Dr. Archie Morris (Scott Grimes) and Dr. Pratt try to find their
professional footing, Neela was quickly widowed , and the father of Sam
Taggart's son attacked Luka. Abby collapsed, Sam was forced by her demanding new
boss, Eve (Kristen Johnston) to fire Nurse Haleh (Yvette Freeman), and we met Tony Gates (John Stamos). Guest stars include Melissa Gilbert and Armand Assante. Close
