Season 6 was a test of the fan base. Clooney was gone and the abrasive Romano (Paul McCrane) was a regular. Hathaway was pregnant with twins, single, while Dr. Benton fought for custody of his son and Dr. Carter had a weird thing with a very broody Rebecca De Mornay. ... moreThere was light, too: we met Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney), Jing-Mei (Ming-Na Wen) returned as a resident, and Alan Alda stuck around for a bit (and earned an Emmy nod for his trouble). Even Martha Plimpton, a young Shia LaBeouf, and a younger Dakota Fanning showed up. And while the most upsetting moment was the stabbing of Lucy Knight, we'll always remember first meeting Luka Kovac (Goran Visnjic).
