It was not easy to find the real heart of Season 14, unless it's Morris, once
a buffoonish stoner and skirt chaser, finally getting some material in the loss
of his estranged father and then his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Dr. Moretti (Stanley Tucci) was a hard case. Abby
... morefell off the
wagon (and onto Moretti); Jeanie Boulet returned, this time as the mother of a
patient; Abby went to rehab and came back again, not sure of her marriage would
survive. Gates and Sam became an item, and Pratt jockeyed for a promotion. Guest
stars included Peter Fonda, Aida Turturro, Hal Holbrook and Steve Buscemi. Season 14 ended with a great, little,
very tense scene: Moretti attempted to make nice with Kovac after sleeping with
Abby, in "The Chicago Way." How
