New medical student Lucy Knight (Kellie Martin) and Dr. Carter were quickly at loggerheads (in a cute way! With sexual tension!), while Elizabeth had to return to intern status in order to stay in the United States. Her relationship with Dr. Benton ended, just as he was... more learning how to raise his deaf baby. Meanwhile, Dr. Ross finally (we hope) settled down with Carol Hathaway. Notable guest stars this season included Mare Winningham, Djimon Honsou, Marlee Matlin and none other than Tae Bo instructor Billy Blanks. And, showing serious chops, "ER" ran a two-parter, "Storm," by the end of which we faced the fact that we were losing George Clooney to the big screen.
