"Community"
The final chapter of "Community" has not yet been written, since the show
hasn't been officially canceled, but the ensemble comedy has come close to death
in each of its three seasons. Having been well-received by critics, the series
never found an audience on NBC, ... moreand on another broadcast network, the show
likely wouldn't have survived as long as it did. Despite impassioned pleas from
its loyal fan base, the show was pulled from NBC's current schedule at midseason
to make way for new episodes of "30
Rock." And though NBC says it's committed to airing the remaining
produced episodes, this has rarely been a good sign for a series' chances of
renewal. If "Community" does get a fourth chance, it's not likely to be on NBC.
