'Heroes' (2006-2010, NBC)

Yes, we know some of you still have hard feelings about NBC's equally loved and hated superhero and supervillain action-drama, and we really don't blame you for that.

But we prefer to remember how good the show was throughout most of its first ... moreseason -- and when it was good at times in its second season, plus when it was sort of good at times in its third season. The fourth season? Not so much.

In particular, the best episodes -- or parts of them -- revolved around a rather unlikely hero, nerdy and shy Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka). His teleportation abilities allowed him to travel in time and space. And he was often accompanied by an equally unsure companion, Ando Masahashi (James Kyson Lee). Oh, if only the show had been theirs completely.
