As creator, writer, director and executive producer, is he
an all-around hit-maker?

Jeffrey Jacob Abrams began his Hollywood career
penning the comedy film "Taking Care of Business" starring Jim Belushi and the romantic drama "Forever
Young" ... more starring Mel Gibson. Years later, he is now known as J.J. Abrams, the
creator, writer, director, executive producer and even music composer for dozens
of films and television shows watched by millions around the world.
While he juggles multiple projects simultaneously, he certainly doesn't
compromise on their quality. This is evident with the success of his most
recent film, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," and his continuing reign on
television with shows like "Fringe"
and "Person of
Interest." As Abrams' latest television series, "Alcatraz," premiers on Monday, Jan. 16, on FOX, we examine
his other television programs and distinguish the awesome from the awful. Will
"Alcatraz" be Abrams' next hit or miss?
