The actress formerly known as Gidget made Jane Fonda look like a Communist while accepting the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Not caring whether anyone liked her, really liked her, Field launched from generic ... morethank-you banter into a furious pacifist tirade, concluding with the nearly profane declaration that, "If mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamn wars in the first place." Not that most of America heard that last part, thanks to the antsy FOX censors. Good thing there's a little thing called YouTube.
