Paris Hilton might want to hang on to the comely pizza delivery guy she's recently been keeping company with
because it seems he appreciates her in a way few do.
Chiseled Swede Alex Vaggo, 22, enthuses to the London Sun that what he finds
most attractive about the jailbird, 26, is her big feet
bank account brain, calling her "intelligent."
(Hey, he sounds like a keeper. Confused, but a keeper.)
"I had a totally different picture of her before [we met]," Vaggo is quoted
as telling the tab. "I was impressed she was so focused. I love to be in her
company."
While it remains unclear what exactly Hilton has been "so focused" on (best
guess: bright and shiny objects), it's not surprising she's made such a positive
impression on her high-cheekboned beau du jour, who has been described as "shy"
and "laid-back."
A Paris pal tattles to the New York Post that she met him outside a hostel in
Los Angeles, an encounter that gave the would-be altruist a chance to put her
post-pokey philanthropy promise into action.
"The hostel is $27 a night and they shove in six people to a room," says the
insider. "Our friend introduced him to Paris and she immediately took a liking
to him. He's very hot. He's living much better now."
And how.
OK! reports the recent college grad accompanied the short-attention-span starlet to the amfAR Rocks benefit in
New York Monday night (she chaired the event), holing up with her in the VIP
section. Later, they downed sushi and drinks at a swank eatery before shaking
their groove things -- and quaffing Dom Perignon -- at a couple of hot spots.
"They spent the entire night dancing," a spy tells the mag. "When the DJ
played Paris' song, she jumped on the banquette and started dancing."
Hilton's rep, however, insists to the Post that she and Vaggo are -- say it
with us, people -- "just friends."
In between helping the world's less fortunate hotties, Hilton is also
determined to do her part for the underprivileged in Africa.
While it's a good bet she thinks the genocide-documenting Don Cheadle flick "Hotel Rwanda" is about an exotic four-star resort,
Paris tells E! Online she's planning a trip to the poverty-stricken country as a
way of using her stubbornly enduring fame for the greater good.
"I'll be going in November, after I get back from filming my movie," she
says, referring to her sure-to-be-award-winning turn in the horror musical "Repo! The Genetic Opera!" "There's so much need in that area
and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to
help."
(When contacted for comment, the people of Rwanda said, "Thanks, but no
thanks.")
And it turns out this may not be Paris' only Brangelina-style photo
op mission of mercy.
"I want to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a big
concern," she avows in a not-at-all-scripted response. "I know there's a lot of
good I can do just by getting involved and bringing attention to these issues."
