Is Nicole Richie facing a summer sans pokey-bound, sometime BFF Paris Hilton and boyfriend Joel Madden? Rumblings have been growing louder in recent days that the rickety starlet and the Good Charlotte frontman have parted ways. According to Sydney's Daily Telegraph, the romance began unraveling late last month when they jetted into town for the MTV Australia Video Music Awards, with Madden allegedly giving Richie the heave-ho a few days after the ceremony for being "too clingy." But insiders deny the breakup buzz, insisting to Us Weekly that Nicole and Joel, who hooked up late last year, "are happily together and on tour in England."

As for Paris, she's getting some words of encouragement -- double-entendre-laced though they may be -- from her most recent ex. "We talked today, and I'm there for her," little-known (still) "Desperate Housewives" actor Josh Henderson tells E!'s Ted Casablanca. "I feel for her, but I know that she's a strong girl. She'll come out on top."

If you're old enough to remember Bruce Willis in "Moonlighting," you're probably too old to tempt him. The New York Daily News reports the bald-pated "Die Hard" star, 52, is "trying out" 23-year-old Playboy Playmate Tamara Witmer, who is just five years older than Willis' eldest daughter, Rumer. "He's so smooth and suave," says Tamara, who previously dated onetime Muscles from Brussels-turned-straight-to-video pugilist Jean-Claude Van Damme. "I don't mind the bald head."

Marilyn Manson is keeping his lipstick-covered cakehole closed over the controversy sparked by his "Heart-Shaped Glasses" video, in which his on-screen nookie with teenage soulmate Evan Rachel Wood may have been a touch too real. "Let's say there were some conservative people involved [with the video] who got a little upset about things that were taking place, and there've been rumors back and forth, but I will not confirm or deny them," the makeup-loving rocker tells Radar. Meanwhile, Manson, 38, complains to the London Observer that estranged spouse Dita Von Teese "genuinely expected" him "to be more responsible or adult" and make sacrifices for the sake of their relationship, which "just ultimately wasn't what I was prepared for." In Wood, who has unclassily co-opted Dita's vintage style, he's found someone who matches his "emotional immaturity. I am always going to be fundamentally immature. As someone being ... being Marilyn Manson, I shouldn't be expected to grow up in a conventional way."

Further proof that tabloid talk of a bubbling romance between Renée Zellweger and her "Leatherheads" co-star John Krasinski might not have been rooted in reality: He's been spotted looking thisclose to his ex. The New York Daily News reports the appealing "Office" star joined his onetime squeeze (and current small screen girlfriend) Rashida Jones at Monday's New York premiere of "Shrek the Third." The pair were "sitting low in their seats and leaning against each other" during the movie and exited together before the credits rolled.
