Jamie Lynn Spears at a baseball game in
Kentwood, La., on March 9 |
When Jamie Lynn Spears revealed her pregnancy in the pages of OK!
magazine last December, she said she was three months along, but you'd never
know she only had three more months to go judging by her appearance this weekend
at a baseball game in Louisiana. Brit's 16-year-old sis, who has remained under
the radar in Kentwood since opening up about her stork status (and has
reportedly been suffering from bad bouts of morning sickness),
showed just a hint of swelling belly in a blue sweatshirt at Sunday's game, some
of which could be attributed to whatever was stuffed in her front pocket. "She's
making a real effort to get together with her friends," an insider tells Us,
which says dad-to-be Casey Aldridge wasn't spotted at the event. "She seems
really happy."
In other belly watch news, Avril Lavigne had a good reason for embarking on that recent baby-centric shopping spree in Los Angeles, and it
wasn't because she's incubating the spiky-haired spawn of husband Deryck
Whibley. In the debut episode of Ashton Kutcher's media-baiting prank show "Pop
Fiction," the trip is revealed as a hoax, with the supremely grating pop
starlet strapping on a fake belly in an attempt to fool the press and perpetuate
the pregnancy rumors. Once Avril is done showing off her ersatz bun in the oven
to swarming shutterbugs, she calls her mom to warn her of the impending fallout.
"You're gonna hear all over the news that I'm pregnant and you're gonna see
pictures of me looking pregnant with a stomach," she says, "but it's a joke that
we're playing on the paparazzi." When Lavigne's mother sensibly asks why she
would do that, she responds, "Because it's funny." Ha, ha?
Matt and Luciana at the Sony Ericsson Empire
Awards in London on March 9 |
It looks like Sarah Silverman wasn't the only one [bleeping] Matt Damon. The good-guy actor, 37, made an
appearance at the Empire Film Awards Sunday night in London with his wife,
Luciana Barroso, 32, whose cutely bulbous belly made it clear they're once again
expecting the pitter-patter of little feet. "They couldn't be happier," Damon's
rep tells People, which crowned him Sexiest Man Alive. "They're so excited!" The
couple's new bundle of joy will join daughters Isabella, who turns 2 in June,
and Alexia, 9, from Luciana's previous marriage. According to Damon, who's been
filming the spy thriller "The Green Zone" in Morocco, his children are his top
priority." ... At the moment I am Daddy," he told Us at the Empire Awards, where
he picked up the Best Film prize for "The Bourne Ultimatum," "and I have to make sure I
work around the family and the time the kids are getting up and going to bed --
everything revolves around them."
Is Jennifer Lopez using her twins' upcoming unveiling to bury
her nickname for good? According to TMZ.com, Mrs. Marc Anthony stipulated that People, which is rumored to
have shelled out $6 million for the first snaps of Max and Emme, not refer to as
J.Lo in the accompanying article. Lopez also supposedly requested that her hubby
be the one to take the photos of their two tykes. "This is absurd," a rep for
People scoffed to TMZ, "but thanks for the additional publicity on the
pictures."
Just last month, Kimora Lee Simmons opened up to Harper's Bazaar
about boyfriend Djimon Hounsou, gushing, "I have someone who has the heart,
the soul, and the hotness." But will the fashionista, 32, soon have a chip off
the hot block? The New York Post claims the couple of just over a year is
expecting their first child together, who would join Kimora's daughters Ming, 8,
and Aoki, 5, from her marriage to Russell Simmons.
