Eyebrows were raised when Hayden Panettiere was spotted out for dinner on Valentine's Day with her family instead of rumored squeeze Milo Ventimiglia, but Halo were back in action Saturday night. The age-mismatched "Heroes" honeys were decked out in their prom-y best (you know, if 18-year-olds typically took 30-year-olds to the big dance) as they were photographed exiting a private soiree in Los Angeles. The tuxedo-clad, stern-faced actor even chivalrously held open the car door for his red gown-sheathed date as she gave a hug goodbye to her on-screen dad, Jack Coleman.

Orlando Bloom's budding romance with Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr appears to have blossomed in a big way. Not only were the lanky lovebirds recently snapped snuggling up in London, but they were also apparently getting lippy while out in New York last week. OK! says Orlando and Miranda stopped off for some hot chocolate but seemed to prefer sharing sugar of the saliva-laden kind. Says a spy, "They made out the entire time they were waiting on line!" The British actor and the Australian looker were first linked last April, when her rep announced, "He's obviously very keen, but they're just friends at this stage." By October, however, they had reportedly progressed to "cuddling and touching," with Miranda's raise-deserving flack saying of the snuggle-bunnies, "What guy in his right mind wouldn't be into her?"

Looks like Cameron Diaz's summer fling with John Mayer might not be completely flung. People reports the actress' car was seen parked outside the wife-hankering crooner's Los Angeles house over Grammy weekend. According to a Mayer insider, the dirty-dancing duo aren't dating, but a mole hints, "They've been hanging out more lately."

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds' under-the-radar romance can't seem to escape tabloid speculation. On the heels of engagement whispers (denied by the stacked starlet's rep) comes speculation from the New York Daily News that the publicity-shy pair may be going through a rough patch. "They haven't spent more than a day in the same city in months," a source tells the paper, which makes a conclusion-leaping observation of trouble after spying both Johansson and Reynolds "furiously texting" during their respective premiere bashes last week for "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Definitely, Maybe."
