Is Mary-Kate Olsen taking a cue from twin sis Ashley by
enjoying some public tonsil polishing with an older man? In
Touch claims the recently hospitalized fashion victim risk
taker, 21, was spotted locking lips with lantern-jawed "Brothers
& Sisters" actor Dave Annable, 28, at a Los Angeles hot spot a few
days back. "They were all over each other. They looked as though they couldn't
get enough of each other!" a spy breathlessly tattles to the mag. "They were
holding hands, cuddling and kissing throughout dinner." MK's rep, however,
denies they're an item.
Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff backstage at a "Spring Awakening"
performance in New York on Aug. 28 |
Relationships require a certain amount of sacrifice, and it looks like Hilary Duff is making a big one for her New York Islanders
beau Mike Comrie. "I actually caught her with a copy of the Hockey for Dummies
book," the starlet's less famous big sister Haylie obligingly informs People. The elder Duff adds that
Hilary's romance with the NHL-er is thriving thanks to the distance between them
(the Mercedes that Comrie gave Hilary on her 20th birthday
probably didn't hurt, either). "He lives in New York and she lives [in L.A.],"
explains Haylie, "and they really put in a big effort to see each other."
Despite rumors of trouble in their under-the-radar
romance, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin still really seem to enjoy
each other's company. The New York Daily News spotted the parents of Apple and
Moses, who celebrated their four-year anniversary on Dec. 5, looking "perfectly
happy" last week as they dined a deux at a Manhattan eatery. "They talked for
hours," a spy tells the paper. "When a cake was brought to the table next to
them, they even joined in singing 'Happy Birthday.'"
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are apparently doing their best to
give tykes Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4, a very merry Christmas. The Chicago Sun-Times
reports the onetime twosome are trying to make the holiday as "normal as
possible" for their kids by sharing the day, albeit with their current squeezes
-- Jake Gyllenhaal and Abbie Cornish -- "close at hand." By the by, the
former flames are featured on the cover of the new issue of People as an example
of celebrity exes who manage to get along for the sake of their children.
"They are very careful to never let a negative comment slip out or say anything
that disses the other one,'' a Witherspoon insider tells the paper.
 French rockers love Shirley Temple

Turns out an all too brief taste of fame may not be the only perk that comes
from starring on "The
Hills." According to the New York Post, a free matchmaking service is also
provided. Producers of the ubiquitous MTV reality show were supposedly
"frantically calling" publicists in Paris to round up dates for Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port, who in the season
finale headed off to the City of Light for their "jobs" at Teen Vogue. "If they
had a love affair there, then it would look better," an insider tells the paper.
The free publicity sweepstakes were said to be won by a band called Rock &
Roll, who have a record titled "Losers, Boozers, Jacuzzi Users." "Lauren was
filmed riding off with the guitar player, Matthias, on the back of his bike,"
says the snitch. "They hooked up."
It seems some emotional wounds may be too deep to heal. Tina Turner has chosen to remain quiet on the passing of
ex-husband Ike Turner, whose harsh treatment of her was detailed in "What's Love Got to Do With It?" "Tina hasn't had any contact
with Ike in more than 30 years," the ageless icon's rep said in a statement (via
"Access
Hollywood"). "No further comment will be made."
