Got $11.995 million lying around? Eager to follow in the dizzyingly high
stiletto-clad footsteps of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? Then this could be your
lucky day.
The palatial five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath Manhattan penthouse for which
the twin titans shelled out a mere $7.3 million three years ago is back on the
market, reports the New York Observer. (For those whose math skills are as
deficient as the siblings' septuagenarian hobo chic fashion choices, that's a
potential profit of $4.695 million, less the major coin they spent on
renovations.)
MK and Ashley purchased the 5,725-square-foot West Village condo when they
enrolled at New York University.
But their abbreviated college experience soon turned the elite digs, which
were once labeled "the world's biggest dorm room" by the New York Times, into a
rental (see pics here).
The monthly price for the 12-room, 53-window apartment, which comes complete
with separate master suites and views stretching from the Statue of Liberty to
the Empire State Building? A bracing $35,000.
The pocket-size sisters are still spending plenty of time in the Big Apple.
On Wednesday, Mary-Kate looked back in the pink as she stepped out in
vertiginous boots following her hospitalization last week for a reported kidney
infection.
Her pouty-lipped sis, meanwhile, was spotted Wednesday night at a museum
event that also just happened to attract her good pal Lance Armstrong.
