Just two weeks ago, Joel Madden confirmed that he and his rapidly expanding squeeze Nicole Richie intended to get hitched sometime "in the future," but he had no clue about the "when or where or how." TMZ.com, however, may have narrowed things down a bit.

According to insiders, the stork-awaiting lovebirds have supposedly tapped a wedding planning outfit to arrange an aisle-walk on Oct. 13 in Laguna Beach, Calif.

TMZ says the ceremony will be "small," although chances are good that Nicole's dad, Lionel Richie, and Joel's twin brother, Benji, will be front and center if the "I dos" happen.

And that remains a really big if.

For one thing, Madden is due in Australia next week for several sold-out shows with his band Good Charlotte, including a concert stop in Melbourne on the alleged wedding date.

What's more, a source recently snitched to E! Online that the once-gaunt-now-glowing starlet planned to put off the nuptials because "she doesn't want the baby to one day grow up and think she and Joel rushed to get married just because she got pregnant."

Richie, who is about six months along (and who just signed up for an 18-month anti-drinking-and-driving education program), was also said to be less than enamored with the idea of being a swollen-bellied bride.

"Nicole doesn't want to get married when she's all big and fat," the insider scoffed. "She wants to look gorgeous for her wedding photos."
