Joel & Nicole Feel Lucky, Alba Feels Hormonal

Call it tyke tunnel vision. Joel Madden says he and Nicole Richie have barely taken their eyes off daughter Harlow Winter since her arrival on Jan. 11.

"Me and her mother feel like the luckiest two people alive right now," the Good Charlotte front man wrote on his clothing company's Web site on Wednesday. "This time in our life has been amazing. We both look at our little girl every single moment every day and know there is nothing we wouldn't do to protect her and her perfect little innocence. It seems like you turn on the TV, or get online, and it's all bad news."

So smitten is Madden with his pink-swaddled progeny that his paternal gushing is starting to sound a little like the lyrics to a pop song.

"I had no idea what love even was until Harlow came along," he rhapsodizes. "I swear it's so hard to leave during the day, but always so rewarding to come home to the little family. I've always been a guy who loves to love. Probably one of the things that defines me outside of my work is LOVE."

The proud pop also points out, "She's already growing too fast!"

Speaking of growing too fast, Jessica Alba isn't accustomed to having a stray ounce on her lithe frame, and she says she's doing her best to keep her pregnancy pounds in check.

"I try and eat as healthy as possible ... [and] exercise," she tells "Extra." "As long as I don't gain too much, too fast, that's the key."

The actress, whose Cash Warren-spawned bun in the oven will be done baking in the spring, also fesses up to feeling a mite hormotional.

"Definitely a lot more emotions!" she says of her delicate condition. "Anything could make me incredibly angry or break down crying. That's not something I'm used to."

Jessica also isn't used to having her boobs perform tasks more complicated than looking fabulous in a bikini, which seems to be causing her some anxiety when she closes her eyes.

"[One dream] had to do with breast-feeding, which is the only thing I'm paranoid about," she admits. "More than giving birth."
