Rosie O'Donnell may soon realize what most ordinary
schmos already know: It's unwise to blog about your employer. The soon-to-be
"View" co-host posted one of her trademark punctuation-optional odes last
Thursday after she caught a commercial plugging the new season of the gab-fest.
"i saw the new view promos /and found myself in the position /i loathe most
/powerless," wrote Rosie. "it will be hard 4 me /2 not b /the boss /it is
already /and we have only just begun."
But O'Donnell must have thought better of openly sharing her control issues,
because the next day she took the "me" out of team by penning a paean to her new
gig with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
"i am excited about the view/like a new kid on the first day of school/hoping
they all like me/that i fit in," she enthused, "cuz there is nothing better/then
being a cast member."
Video: Will Rosie's ego ruin "The
View"?
When asked by "Access Hollywood" about her "powerless" post, O'Donnell
explained, "I used to sort of be the star and the boss and in control and now
I'm part of an ensemble. And to learn to work with a team and to learn to, you
know, move myself in a different manner -- it's gonna be interesting and
definitely a life lesson and I'm definitely looking forward to it."
Rosie then completed the meta circle by blogging about her "Access" chat,
which included a question on whether she was "happy" Star Jones Reynolds was
history: "b4 i could reply he added/ - i would have loved 2 c u 2 go at
it/smiling/it would not have been fun for me/fighting everyday/life is 2 short."
Even, it seems, for the rules of grammar. |
