For those wondering how Victoria Beckham reacts when in proximity to foodstuffs, a recent night out may provide some clues. The New York Post claims the calorie-shy Posh avoided the menu while dining with designer Marc Jacobs a few days ago at STK in New York.

"She wouldn't order anything herself," a spy alleges to the paper. "She wouldn't address the waiter. She had her assistant order for her."

FoxNews.com says her vittles of choice were -- color us shocked -- steamed vegetables and salad, which Vicky, who recently joked that her persistently smile-free expression makes her look like a "miserable cow," washed down with an aptly named Snow Queen Cosmo.

But the Post believes her barely detectable body weight may have worked against her, with the eyewitness asserting she was "escorted to the ladies' room by security, she was so wobbly."

But her rep dismisses the paper's version of the evening's events, pooh-poohing, "She walked out with her girlfriends arm in arm -- not for support but for fun. The rest of it's not true."

And while Posh and Jacobs reportedly spent part of the night discussing her soccer star hubby's success, the New York Daily News says he's none too pleased that they're palling around.

"It drives David nuts when she goes out with Marc," a Victoria insider tells the paper, "because he doesn't think his crowd is a good influence."

To that end, he supposedly coughed up some serious cash for a Napa Valley vineyard for his grasshopper-shaped spouse's 34th birthday.

"David feels like Victoria needs something to do other than shopping and going to parties," contends the insider. "He is hoping she will get into the wine business and settle into some kind of regular routine."

But Posh hasn't yet given up on the fashion business. The London Sunday Mirror says she's negotiating a guest spot on Oprah -- way to work that mutual Tom Cruise connection -- to plug her dVb jeans line.

"She's spoken to Oprah's TV firm Harpo," a source tells the paper, "and wants to prove she isn't just David Beckham's wife but has a career in fashion."

Speaking of Cruise, the Beckham boys -- Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz -- were spotted hanging with 2-year-old Suri at TomKat's newly renovated Beverly Hills, Calif., compound on Sunday, reports E! News.
