"Gossip Girl" follows the scandals
and schemes of socialite teenagers on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Set at an
exclusive prep school, this latest offering from The CW exposes the intrigues of
the young and the privileged, as seen through the eyes of Gossip Girl, the
show's heard-but-not-seen narrator. When Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) suddenly returns from boarding school
to reclaim her spot as alpha female, Gossip Girl blogs into high gear, stirring
up trouble and creating division within a circle of back-biting
friends. Not even Serena's supposed best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) can avoid the rumormongering, as
she has no intention of living in anyone's shadow. Throw in Blair's stormy
relationship with boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and Nate's growing rivalry with best
friend Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), and you have a recipe for high drama
