Viewers will learn finally how it will end for Detective Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis). Vic faces threats from all directions, primarily from his damaged protégé Detective Shane Vendrell (Walton Goggins), who Vic knows killed their former partner Detective Curtis Lemansky. He also is faced with losing his badge, as Captain Claudette Wyms (CCH Pounder) is on the verge of pushing him off the force so she and her precinct can clean up Farmington without the stench of police corruption. Further complicating matters is the fact that Vic is unaware that he and his family have been "green-lit" -- or marked for death -- by Diro Kesakhian for ripping off the Armenian money train and that Shane is the one who gave him up. The other detectives in Vic's precinct include the troubled Julien Lowe (Michael Jace) and resident "choirboy" "Dutch" Wagenbach (Jay Karnes), who's got a soft spot for female officer Danielle Sofer (Catherine Dent).

"The Shield" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
