Give yourself a pat on the back, TV fan. You did it! You waited patiently
through the long summer months (not to mention the writers' strike earlier this
year) in eager anticipation of the return of your favorite series (unless your
favorite series happens to be "24," "Lost" or "Scrubs," in which case, you'll have to wait until January).
Three beloved shows will take their final bows this season -- "Boston Legal," "The Shield" and "ER" -- the latter of
which will wrap after an impressive 15 seasons on the air. Whether the rest of
these returning series will make it past this season remains to be seen, but
