"90210"

Brenda! Kelly! Oh yeah, and the actual high school students who we will inevitably come to love and loathe: 'It's "90210" 2.0. Brother and sister Dixon and Annie move from Kansas to tacky, tony Beverly Hills, Calif., when their dad becomes the new principal at West Beverly High. How will they fit in with the West Beverly teen mafia, including spoiled little rich girl Naomi, jock of all trades Ethan, aspiring journalist Navid and YouTube celebutante Silver? Well, I think we all know how this one goes: hookups, drunk driving, Donna Martin graduates. It's a winning formula. The original show ran for 10 years, and that's like 100 in TV years. Rob Thomas penned the pilot. Best of all, Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth are back to play, respectively, the drama teacher and the guidance counselor. Unfortunately, the two-hour premiere's mediocre script and canned acting rendered it utterly charmless. It's not even guilty pleasure material. (Airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW) - KM
