'The Streets of San Francisco: Season 1, Volume 1'

The long-running (1972-77) TV detective series that followed two homicide cops as they worked their beat in the city by the bay. The center of the series was veteran police detective lieutenant Mike Stone (Karl Malden) and his young, inexperienced partner Steve Keller (Michael Douglas). The duo are called in to investigate various crimes usually involving murder and the series benefited from the excellent chemistry between Malden and Douglas. The Streets of San Francisco was based on Poor, Poor Ophelia, a novel by Carolyn Weston.
