Well, here we are at the let's-feel-sympathetic-for-everyone-and-make-Jessie-look-like-a-tool episode. Jessie is all excited that he won HOH. He's jumping around. Jerry puts it well when he says, "We've created a monster." Jessie tells Memphis that this is the "best case scenario." I don't see that as the case. I would think that someone else in his alliance winning HOH would have been the best case scenario for him -- but whatever he wants to think. As he says, he wants everyone to think that he is ALL body and no brain. But then he makes sure to tell everyone that he has a brain and that he beat everyone at chess. I think the only thing that he knows he wants is to put Renny up on the block. Unfortunately for him, Libra, Michelle and April won't allow it. They tell him that is ridiculous and that he has to put up a combination of Steven, Angie or Dan. He tries to fight it, but there is no hope for him against Libra and Michelle. It is actually entertaining to see him being pushed around.

Jerry and Libra talk about how it is hard to be away from their significant others for so long. They both say that it is hard to be married. Steven talks about being gay and how he figured it out. Dan says that he is learning a lot about gay people in the house from Steven and seems to be asking him a lot of questions to figure the whole "gay" thing out. Keesha talks about how much she misses her dog and that her dog comes before anyone or anything. Steven tells her that her dog might forget about her, and she looks like she is going to cry. Memphis talks about his dad leaving him when he was 2 and then his dad's coming back when he was 15, only to die a few months later. He says that is why he is emotionless, except for that he really loves his current girlfriend. I think that is it for the low, sympathetic music for this episode, thankfully.
This week's food competition looks fun, and it is a team event and is going for food or slop -- nothing like limiting the food for the group or anything. OK! So, let's see if you get this: There are two teams of six people each. One person is the cork finder and tosser; this person has to find their team's color-matched cork in a bucket and toss it to two of their teammates in a large wooden crate/bucket tub. The two teammates in the bucket tub have to take the corks and put them in the holes that are in their tub, so that the "wine" that is being poured onto them doesn't run out of the bottom. The reason they don't want the wine to get out the bottom is because three members of the opposite team have two wine glasses each, and they are underneath the buckets trying to collect the wine to put into their wine bottles. So, the team with the most wine in its wine bottles after the time allotted wins food for the week and the other team is on SLOP! April and Libra are complaining before the competition even starts because they have the two "old" people on their team and they don't think that it is fair. Well, when it comes down to it, their team loses, which puts April, Dan, Jerry, Keesha, Libra and Renny on slop, so pretty much everyone that was on slop last week stays there, plus Renny.

Dan tries to get alone time with Jessie and is bro-blocked by Ollie. He then tries again and is successful -- well, not too successful, but at least he is able to talk to him. Dan tells Jessie that he is good on his word, which is why he voted to keep Brian in. Jessie seems to think that will help him later in the game, but yet he still nominates him?!? I don't think Jessie figured out that Dan was trying to get him NOT to nominate him. But, whatever, Jessie's got the BODY and the BRAINS -- well, at least in his mind.
Nominations start and Libra -- oh, I mean, Jessie -- nominates Steven and Dan. He says that he nominated Steven because he didn't go up to his HOH room -- in other words, Steven didn't care about his MUSCLES, and that hurt his ego. Steven gets it right when he says that Jessie doesn't see him as a threat. He doesn't see anyone as a threat because he is so cocky. I would also like to point out that Jessie says that he is representing IOWA, not Huntington Beach. So, all you Iowans can claim him!
Is anyone wondering if Renny is going to run out of "outfits" if she makes it to the end of the game? :-)
