Well here we go. It's official: "Big Brother 10" is under way. Tonight's episode starts with all of the houseguests getting their keys. I remember when I was interviewing Michelle, and she said that when she got her key, no one in her family knew what was going on or where she was going. She said they are all Portuguese, which in her dictionary means "crazy." Dan says that things will probably happen that go against his faith, but he will go to confession to get that taken care of. Is that how that works? Really?!?! Libra told everyone that she has four-month-old twins. It doesn't seem like that is being used against her, thankfully.

The houseguests are then immediately thrown into a luxury/food competition. It's a team competition and there are 13 houseguests, so Jessie nominates himself to sit out. When the houseguests walk out to the backyard, there are two upside down bugs -- the old-fashioned, car-type bugs, not the creepy-crawly ones. So, anyways, the teams have to get into their bugs and pull themselves across to the "gas" pickup and then back to the "finish line" multiple times. How it works is when you get to the "finish line," you have to drop off a teammate as well, and the first team to drop off all the teammates and get back to the "finish line" wins food for the week. And the last person in the bug on the winning team wins a "classic" car. Anyways, the red team wins food for the week, and Memphis wins a green '69 Camaro.

Oh, and April, Dan, Keesha, Libra, Jerry, and Ollie are on SLOP! That's pretty extreme for day one: someone wins a car, and six people on slop. Way to throw the houseguests into a game, huh! Shortly after they come in from the competition, it is announced that with four votes Jerry is the first Head of Household. OK! So alliances ALREADY!! Dan and Brian form an instant alliance, and they add Ollie to it as well. Then, Brian goes up to the HOH room to talk to Jerry, and Jerry wants him in his X- Factor alliance. Man, oh, man, I wish Jerry had gotten to Brian before Dan. Oh and to top it all off, Brian convinces Jerry to put up Renny and Jessie, when he was planning on putting up Memphis and Dan. Brian, you are letting me down! Renny has clown music playing as she walks around, so I am guessing she is not going to get edited very well. Oh well, you can't win them all!
