Dermot Mulroney Joins Showtime's 'Shameless' in Major Arc

Dermot Mulroney just made a "Shameless" career move.

The "My Best Friend's Wedding" actor has signed on for a season-long arc on the Showtime comedy "Shameless."

Appearing in Season 5 of the series, Mulroney will play ex-bad boy and recovering addict Sean Pierce, who works as a manager at Patsy's Pies, where he manages Fiona (Emmy Rossum).

Fiona and Sean's relationship turns flirtatious and, as tension grows, they struggle to overcome their weakness for each other.

"Shameless," which has received three Emmy nominations this year including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for William H. Macy, is based on the U.K. series of the same title.
