Kevin Bacon has apologized to international fans after sharing a spoiler for his TV show "The Following" online.

The actor, who plays FBI agent Ryan Hardy in the new series, risked the wrath of the show's devotees by re-posting a Twitter comment which gave away a key plot twist, making it instantly visible to his followers. The episode in question aired in the U.S. on Monday, but had not been shown abroad, and Bacon was quick to apologize for his error, uploading a video of himself repeating the phrase "my bad" three times.
