"South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are launching their own production company. The comedy duo has formed Important Studios for future TV and film projects, including a possible big-screen adaptation of their hit Broadway musical, "The Book Of Mormon."

Stone and Parker are looking forward to taking charge, telling The New York Times, "Having worked with several different studios over the years, we came to realize that our favorite people in the world are ourselves."
The creative partners, and best pals, are modeling their new venture on Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks movie studio and George Lucas' Lucasfilm.
"In some ways it's a stupid comparison because they are gargantuan," Stone said. "We want to be a smaller, more humble version of that. If DreamWorks is [U.S. retail giant] Wal-Mart, we are over here knitting sweaters."
