Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan cried shooting their scenes for the series finale of "30 Rock" because they knew it marked the end of an era.
The cast of the hit TV show reunited on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday for the first time since wrapping the seventh and final season of the comedy in December .
And during their group chat, which also featured Alec Baldwin, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer, each star grew emotional as they recalled what it was like filming their last lines.
Fey said, "Everyone cried for a month or more. I did. The funny thing is, [as] it started to get near the end, everytime it was somebody's final shot, everybody would come and clap for them, and then it was like, 'And then there were four.' And my last shot wasn't a big scene, it was me with no lines, running on a treadmill for five seconds - but there were like, a hundred people watching. I was crying on the treadmill."
But comedian Morgan admits things would have been a lot worse if it wasn't for Fey: "Y'all been in my life for seven years so I took it really hard. Tina, you held us together though. You stopped me from crying a lot, [by saying], 'We got to get through the shots.'"
Morgan performed a touching rendition of Boyz II Men's track "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday," while his pals stood by and joined hands.
The final episode of "30 Rock" is set to air Jan. 31.
